The Trevelyan lived up to its promise and my expectations. Best of all it was homely (and very clean) and I slept very well , far better in fact then the previous night where I was in a hotel costing 4 times the price. The room was very comfortable had most of the little extras you would expect in a hotel of a higher level. Breakfast was fresh, hot and tasty and I also asked for and got Gluten Free bread / toast, which again sometimes is not possible at bigger and more expensive places. Overall the owners made me very welcome and it felt like home and that sort of attention and care one just does not get so often these days.
Nothing was a problem for me.
All of the above things that I ticked and that I had a key enabling me to come and go as I pleased as I was working and kept very late hours and very early mornings.
I was very disappointed that the room was very cold as mid November and there was no way I could get the radiators turned by myself and I did not want to disturb any one so late or early. The same thing with the shower .....too cold to even get under! A real shame as every thing else was so good, but for these reasons I would not recommend.
The landlord was very kind and friendly, He made us feel like at home.
Very friendly b and b. The host were very helpful and the breakfast was very nice. Will be staying there again soon.
I stayed at the Trevelan for a couple of weeks whilst on business in the area. This guest house is probably the best that I have ever stayed in. I work away from home a lot and I always look for a place to stay which is clean, friendly and good value for money. The Trevelyan ticks all of those boxes and many more. The hosts, Mark and Wendy, are fantastic landlords who continually go out of their way to ensure that your stay is perfect. Recommended wholeheartedly!
Superb welcome by owners, shared bathroom but cleanliness was top notch, seafront location...........................wonderful breakfast......................superb value for money AAA+
friendly atmosphere, upbeat staff very welcoming and accomodating
showers are not powerful enuff and unpredictable temperature.
This is an excellent place to stay and fab value for money. Very friendly proprietors. I felt they work really hard at providing such a good service. Lovely room. They had really thought about everything. There was even a clock in the room plus a box of tissues, nice toiletries, comfy mattress, a throw on the bed. Couldn't fault it. Nice breakfast, generous portions.
Had a bit of trouble with the keys but I am quite ham-fisted! I wish I had booked into this hotel for the whole of my stay. I only did not at first because it's in the West End which is not known as being as nice as the East Promenade. It was a bit noisier (traffic) than the hotel I stayed in on the prom itself as the West End is a densely populated area. But, really, that was minor.
Clean, tidy, well appointed and above all friendly. Booked for one night, stayed two thanks to Wendy and Mark 'fitting me in'! cheers, a great couple. Never been to Morecambe before really hit on lucky finding the Trevelyan. P.S. charge more you're worth it!!
Absolutely nothing it was great.
It is run by very friendly hosts who wanted to make sure you were comfortable and well looked after. The room i stayed in was small but the place was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners focused on attention to detail which was great. The owners offered me an early breakfast so that i could get off to catch my train. They even got me vegetarian sausages, what mor ecan i say!!
Nothing really, i was there for one night and it was great VFM. If i ever go back to Morecambe i would have no problems with staying there again.
Friendly staff quick to help out when train prob lems lead to late arrival.
Good clean b&b. In a good location
Breakfast time of 8 until 9am far too early especially on a Sunday!
We were made to feel very welcome during our brief stay. The room was good and comfortable, the hotel is well located and the breakfast was great.
Nothing not to like
